The Prony Brake provides a convenient method of loading rotating machines and measuring torque output. The load range is 0-3.05 N-m. It consists of a formed steel gauge unit, aluminum brake drum with mounting for 5/8-inch motor shafts, balanced pulley, spring force gauge, load adjustment knob, double set screw locking device, and coolant spray bottle.
