Multi Turbine Test Set

The unit consists ofa pump and a storage tank, turbine units connected in parallel, a dynamometerfor each turbine, and measuring instruments. Multi Turbine Test Set is a self contained set of three different typesof turbine namely-Pelton, Francis, Cross Flow, designed for studying theturbine characteristics under various flow rates and heads. The unit is on wheels.

Efficiency vs speed for a given head and flow rate.

Torque vs speed at various heads and flow rates.

Pelton Turbine :
Stainless steel casing with transparent window to observe hydraulicaction.
Maximum power : 400 W of brake power.
Construction : Stainless steel runner and nozzle.
Cross Flow Turbine
Construction : Stainless steel runner, and nozzle.
Francis Turbine
Construction : Metal runner.
Maximum power : 400 W of brake power.
Non corrosion metal casing with adjustable guide vanes and transparentwindow to observe guide vane position.
Stainless steel casing with transparent window.

Pump : 2.2 kW.
