The Water Conditioning Plant is very flexible and can be used for the treatment of water containing different kinds of pollutant substances. The quantity of pollutant substances can vary within the values that are normally shown in the industrial wastewaters. The instruments for pH and rH measurements, mounted on the unit, are fitted with analog output for the A/D conversion. The Water Conditioning Plant has been designed to perform practical experiments of water conditioning. The industrial wastewaters can be splitted in a first classification, into the ones containing organic products, determining a decrease of oxygen dissolved in the rivers where they flow and into wastes containing inorganic products whose toxicity is typical of the dissolved compounds. The realization of this equipment allows the treatment up to 170 liters of polluted water.
....The micro-organisms utilize the contaminated substances as necessary food for their production and their preservation. The aspect for this mass of micro-organisms is that of sludge, from which we have taken the name of the process. The activated sludge pilot allows the study and the comprehension of sewage treatment by activated sludge. This Activated Sludge Sewage Treatment Pilot Plant is an intermediate stage between the physical treatments or grid iron, and primary sedimentation and the final sterilization and chlorination stage, in a sewage treatment station. The conditioning process takes place in a tank where the organic load is removed by microorganism which are cultivated under aerobic conditions by blowing in air or sometimes also pure oxygen. After the pollutant elimination phase it is necessary to divide the clarified water from the sludge, operation which is carried out in the settling tank (stating separator). Its purpose is to eliminate the contaminated organic substances which are present in the sewage water after the above mentioned physical treatment. The organic load is measured in BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) unit and it also causes a partial elimination of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand).
....This Study Unit For Bio alcohol Production allows to consider the best fermentation conditions and carry on exercises to face all the bioreactor aspects regarding the industrial reaction process. It is possible to realize how operation parameters such as, temperature, sugar substratum another micronutrient concentration can affect the fermentation efficiency. The unit for Bio alcohol consists of a 2.5 l laboratory fermenter suitable to produce bio alcohol from sugar substrata. Besides, Study Unit For Bio alcohol Production also enables to study advanced fermenting processes such as simultaneous scarification and fermentation of more complex substrata. It is possible to study the fermentations occurring in extracts from sugar cane, beet and cereals by using yeast so as to get automotive bio alcohol.

In the field of the so-called soft technologies, anaerobic fermentation plays a primary role on account of the contribution it can make to the solution of major problems to do both with the energy crisis and with the disposal of organic waste materials. The Re Biomass pilot plant has been conceived so as to illustrate effectively the functional parameters which determine the quantity and properties of the biogas produced as well as the criteria governing system operation, in particular in terms of safety. Thus, this unit can be viewed as a valuable teaching tool for the understanding of both the processes and the technology adopted in the design of real systems.

The Computerized Educational Equipment On The Thermal Solar Refrigeration Cycle has been designed and manufactured by Italia to allow the experimental study of an absorption refrigeration plant using solar energy as energy source. Owing the peculiarity of the plant able to use the solar energy to convert it in a source of cold, the plant is particularly interesting in all the countries of the equatorial area, where the sun is the main energy source and the coverage of the electrical network is scarce.
