....Flood Lighting Set is lighting equipment offered consists of four sealed beam flood lamps each housed in an aluminium body. Flood Lighting Set is essential to have the experimental area within the frame well lit. Flood Lighting Set lamp units slide in a 3.6 metre long track supported 1 metre from the front edge of the MAGNUS frame with cantilever brackets.
A mains connector and 6 metres of cable complete the assembly.

Stress Grading of Timber Joists system allows pressure to be applied simultaneously from one pump. Point loading is applied using the Dual hydraulic ram system.
A set of three dial gauges is required to measure the curvature of the beam in the central region of constant bending moment. Stress Grading of Timber Joists comprises a technical manual, which contains details of the selection of a timber beam and setting up for a four point loading test.

To provide maximum protection to the face from splinters, etc., Protective Guard is supplied with a 450 mm square acrylic shield. Protective Guard is 2 metres high by 1.2 metres wide, and is fitted with wire mesh mounted on a stable frame. This shield is 5 mm thick and hooks onto the wire mesh in any position.
Protective Guard offers a high degree of protection to the operators from flying debris, etc when used along side the MAGNUS Test frame.
1a Plane Frame With Strain Gauges is made from fully welded hollow square section steel members making a 45° truss. The end mountings also allow the frame to be inverted for work on an inverted truss. Seven members of the truss are 1a Plane Frame With Strain Gauges With half bridge arrangements. The truss has special end mountings supplied that allow different end bearing conditions to be used, i.e. pinned and roller end.
The truss has been specially designed to be tested in the MAGNUS Test frame. The standard accessories supplied with the are required. Each 1a Plane Frame With Strain Gauges pairing has a cable loom attached and terminated with a numbered connector. The experiment calls for joint deflections to be measured during testing. Safety chains and high level reaction supports are supplied with this apparatus. This connector can be fitted into the optionally available Data Acquisition Interface for direct reading of the member strain during loading.

Both Twin Hydraulic Ram System are operated using a hand pump, which is mounted on a mobile table. The digital display is calibrated in Psi. The digital indicator can be moved around the hydraulic table and tilted to give a better viewing angle. A lever on the end of the hand pump allows direction control of the ram between raising and lowering. A digital pressure indicator shows the ram pressure via a transducer.
Twin Hydraulic Ram System Two 20 tonne dual direction rams are each fitted in wheeled carriages that roll along the flanges of the top members of the MAGNUS frame. There are quick acting clamps that lock the carriage in position.
