The DEM is a three-phase asynchronous squirrel-cage motor mock-up that can be assembled and disassembled depending on needs.
This Dem Dissectable Machine is presented in a case containing the following items:
The motor housing with stator wiring, fitted with a terminal block
The fan
The left and right flanges
The squirrel-cage rotor
The screws with screwdriver kit.
This Squirrel Cage Induction Machine 60 HZ is a three-phase squirrel cage induction motor. The three-stator windings may be connected in wye or delta and be brought out to separate 4mm terminals on the housing. Specifications and/or diagrams are silk-screened on the back of a clear-plastic front panel for ease of identification. The B design of the machine makes it convenient for most applications. It can be used as either a motor or generator. The trainer is protected by a either a diode or thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. Included in the Rotating Machines Trainer for 1/3 hp - 250 W. Requires a 120V 60Hz circuit.
