The starter is equipped with thermal protection facilities, a start-stop push-button station and two pilot lamps indicating respectively the supply and the run state of the motor driven. This permits the utilization of banana-type jumper leads between the power supply and other components in the circuit. Specifications and/or diagrams are silk-screened on the back of a clear-plastic front panel for ease of identification. It is housed in a half-size totally enclosed portable modular unit. The Autotransformer Reduced Voltage Starter 60 HZ is an autotransformer reduced voltage starter for 1/3 hp (250 W) that is used to start squirrel cage motors that require limited current and reduced voltage at acceleration. The trainer is protected by a either a diode or thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. Connections to the unit are made through 4 mm standard color-coded, five-way binding posts. Requires a 120/208V 60Hz circuit.
Educational Advantages:
Used to start squirrel cage motors that require limited current and reduced voltage at acceleration
Indicates respectively the supply, the run state of the motor driven and adjustable time delay
Three phase unit
