The Civil Heating Plant unit is supplied with a manual which describes all the parts of the trainer, the installation and utilization procedures, as well as many exercises with the relative results.
It enables the student to compare different types of circuit based solutions and to know deeply different kinds of heating systems. The Civil Heating Plant shows the fundamental functions of a heating system for civil use.

The plant is modular and allows to connect other components. The student is provided with teaching and checkout means that allow him to learn the fundamentals for a correct sizing of the heat production unit, of the distribution circuit and of the radiators.

Refrigeration Laboratory Unit is a fully instrumented refrigerant vapour compression refrigerator with belt driven compressor, electrically heated evaporator, thermostatic expansion valve and water cooled condenser. Refrigeration Laboratory Unit Instrumentation includes all relevant temperatures, condenser pressure, evaporator pressure, refrigerant and cooling water flow rates, evaporator and motor power, motor torque and compressor speed. Operating parameters can be varied by adjustment of condenser cooling water flow and electrically heated evaporator supply voltage. Components have a low thermal mass resulting in immediate response to control variations and rapid stabilisation.

The transmission can be cranked easily. Atransmission with superlatives a latest generation transmission. In addition, all the clutches withhydraulic pistons, the crescent pump, the planetary gear trains, the converter with shorting an the hydraulic control device with the solenoid valves. This valve sets the temperature of the boiler return flow and the feed flow. Cold water connections enable the heat generated to be dissipated. A pump circulates water through four radiators. The temperature of the radiators is set using thermostatic valves.The differential pressure across the pipe system is limited using a relief valve. Temperatures can be read on dial thermometers. A digital controller keeps the room temperature constant by driving the four-way mixing valve.
