This unit is used to study the dynamic behaviour in single-stage, two-stage and three-stage spur gears during transient operation. The trainer includes four parallel shafts, three drive wheels and three drive gears. Coupling pins can be used to couple the shafts such that different gear stages can be realised. Gears are employed as a link between drive machine and work machine. They are used to vary torque and speed and to change direction. The aim of dynamic gear analysis is an understanding of the motion sequences and the influence of inertia. A flywheel may be attached to each shaft in order to increase the rotational inertia. A clamping roller freewheel enables free further rotation after the weight has been released. A hand brake allows smooth deceleration. The gear is accelerated via a cable drum and a variable set of weights. The set of weights is raised via a crank. A ratchet prevents the weight from accidentally escaping. The transparent protective cover with safety lock prevents accidental contact with the rotating parts.

Friction loss is measured by a pressure drop and coefficient of discharge is determined from a pressure drop and a flow rate. Piping Loss Apparatus Large is a comprehensive unit for studying the friction losses in pipes, pipe fittings, and valves and to determine coefficients of discharge for primary flow measuring devices at various flow rates. All friction loss components and the flow measuring devices are arranged on a water proof panel which is attached to a floor standing steel frame. Flow rate is obtained from a water meter and a stop watch. All pressure taps are connected by flexible hoses to a set of specially arranged manifolds such that differential pressure across any component can be measured simply by opening valves without removing the hoses. The pressure drop is measured by differential pressure using manometers. Pressure tapping in by valves with quick connection.

It is possible to utilize the unit in two different circuit configurations:
In the first configuration the air jet coming out from the nozzle hits a special impact head mounted on a balance arm. In the second configuration, the air jet comes out from the nozzle vertically upwards, pushing the balance arm downwards. In both configuration, the forces generated are measured by a mechanical micrometer fitted with an electric sensor.

The Four-Cylinder Engine trainer should consist of a complete, fully operational Multi Point EFI system. A color coded schematic chart, under a lexon polycarbonate protective screen, of the Fuel Injection Trainer system and circuit's, should also be mounted onto the trainer for reference. Original components should be utilized and clearly laid out on a display board that is mounted on an integrated floor stand, made from powder coated electro galvanized steel, mounted onto wheels for mobility.
Fuel Injection Trainer engine sensors have a signal generator to simulate various engine conditions and a corresponding electrical meter that continuously monitors the signal. The Electrical wiring diagram is provided in a special design panel to incorporate Input / Output connections from sensors and ECU. The effect of altering the sensor condition should be immediately apparent on the meters.
