The experimental unit illustrates the laws for forming the equilibrium of moments in static systems. Two pulleys with different diameters are mounted on a steel shaft, which is itself mounted on ball bearings. The relations between wheel diameter, moment and circumferential force are demonstrated.

This programmable logic controller training system features 1000 PLC mounted on an 11-gauge steel panel for use with Electric Motor Control Learning System. PLC Motor Control Learning System covers the basics of PLC knowledge and how to operate them, PLC programming, timers, counters, and PLC integration with motor control components.
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Motor Control Learning System teaches learners how to control the movement and velocity of AC motors using 1000 PLC. A common example of PLC motor control is the positioning and homing of an indexing table. Almost every industry uses PLCs to control AC motors including manufacturing facilities, steel manufacturers, paper manufacturers, and many others making this one of the most common applications for PLCs.
Learners will then use this PLC knowledge to practice hands-on skills by linking the PLC to a motor starter, a reversing motor starter, and many other real-world devices.

The Freeze Drier comprises a cylindrical working chamber 300mm diameter by 370mm deep mounted adjacent to a 210mm diameter condenser chamber in a painted stainless steel cabinet. Both chambers incorporate a clear acrylic lid on an O ring seal. The chamber is defrosted by an electrical heater and the ice plug may be removed whole via the lid or allowed to melt totally and drained through the drain plug. All controls are via a touch screen display with real-time plotting of temperatures and vacuum level.
Ice build up in the condenser chamber can be observed through the acrylic lid. Products to be freeze dried may be frozen in the working chamber prior to drying. Drying rate may be controlled by the application of heat to the working chamber via a heating element with temperature controller.

Gears transmit rotational movements. They adapt the torques and speeds of a consumer drive according to demand. Deals with a fixed gear unit. Universal Bench Mounted Frame
The frame is designed to accommodate two items of ADS apparatus, allowing adequate space for students to work on each piece of equipment simultaneously. However it is possible to mount three pieces, in the case of the simple transmission system.
The Sanderson Universal Bench Mounted Frame provides a very sensible alternative to to wall mounting, particularly since many new buildings are predominantly glass, with very flimsy dividing walls.
By mounting the apparatus on the frame, experiments can be transported between rooms to any convenient location.
Drum Brake Apparatus
The apparatus is suitable for use in the laboratory and may be used by the Students to carry out simple experiments to investigate the relationship between actuating forces and the braking torques and for the determination of the co-efficient of friction between the brake lining and the drum.
It provides a means of demonstrating the difference in braking torque between leading (Primary) and trailing (Secondary) shoe braking systems and the effect on the braking systems and the effect on the braking torque of the various combinations of leading and trailing shoes. This apparatus has been developed specifically for Motor Vehicle Mechanics and Motor Vehicle Technicians Courses. When the two shoes are linked together, the self energising action can be demonstrated.

The Simple Geared System consists four parallel shafts with fixed and sliding gears and supported by self aligned ball bearings on a base frame. The gear system is attached to a wall supported on two legs for weight hanger travel. By timing the fall of the weight hanger, the acceleration of the system can be calculated. The Simple Geared System is for studying the acceleration of a gear system under different gear ratios. Each pair of adjacent shafts has two transmission ratio, providing 8 different gear ratios between the first and the last shaft. A chord wound around a drum and the weight hanger provides a means of applying a torque. Inertia mass with torque drum is attached to each shaft. A sprocket and lock pin, and a winding handle are provided for raising the weights. All gears are enclosed in a casing with a transparent cover for safety.

The equipment consists of a bench-top training unit with a refrigeration circuit including a hermetic compressor, evaporator, condenser, liquid expansion capillary tube and hygrostat.
Torque measurement for the dynamometer is by load cell, whilst speed measurement uses a magnetic type pick up. Pump suction and delivery heads are monitored by pressure transducers and the flowrate in the circuit can be accurately determined using the built in flow meter. The testing of such a wide range of pumps on a single test unit is made possible by the provision of quick release hose and drive couplings together with quick release pump fixing clamps, enabling changeover to be made easily and efficiently. All data is logged and displayed on the P.C. that is supplied with the unit. Data can be exported to a spreadsheet for processing.
