The dialogue between the semaphores of the two roads allows the alternation of the green signal as a function of the traffic intensity, while the pedestrian crossing is on request. The automatic control of the semaphore system is performed through PLC not with the normal cyclic timing: only the presence of at least one car determines the green signal of the relevant semaphore, allowing the transit of all the cars between the two detecting sensors.
