The power circuit is protected by a thermal magnetic breaker and the control circuit is protected by diodes. Connections can be made between the three-phase power supply and other components in the circuit through 4mm standard color-coded safety sockets using banana plug jumper leads. The SCR Direct Current Motor Speed Controller allows students to study the operation of a silicon-controlled rectifier used in motor speed control experiments. Specifications and/or diagrams are silk-screened on the back of a clear-plastic front panel for ease of identification. Included in the Rotating Machines Trainer (50016) for 1/3 hp - 250 W. Requires a 120V 60Hz circuit. The trainer is protected by a either a diode or thermal-magnetic circuit breaker.
