....The planet gears are mounted on a planet carrier and engage positively in an internally toothed ring gear. Torque and power are distributed among several planet gears. The Planetary Gear is a special type of gear drive, in which the multiple planet gears revolve around a centrally arranged sun gear. Planetary gears are used in automotive construction and shipbuilding, as well as for stationary use in turbines and general mechanical engineering. Sun gear, planet carrier and ring gear may either be driving, driven or fixed.
Features:
Four different transmissions can be configured
Bending beams to measure force
Two-stage planetary gears with three planet gears each
Inductive speed sensors for speed-time diagrams to determine the angular acceleration.
Learning Objectives And Experiments:
Gear acceleration under constant driving torque
Influence of the transmission ratio
Determine reduced mass moment of inertia
Determine the transmission ratio for a locked gear
Determine friction
Determine gear efficiency
Measure transmitted forces for a locked gear
Conversion of potential energy into kinetic energy.
The apparatus consists of a vertical stack of specimens clamped between an electrically heated source at the top and a water cooled base, all contained within a Dewar vessel and furnished with a radiation shield and anti convection baffle. The heating current is supplied from a variable voltage power pack and displayed on a digital ammeter. The specimens are fitted with very small thermocouples at known distances apart and connected via a selector switch to a digital temperature readout. Cooling water is supplied from the constant head water tank mounted above the Dewar vessel. The water cooled base is designed as a calorimeter to measure the heat flow and fitted with very accurate thermometers in the water circuit.

Electronic Sensors Learning System is comprised of heavy-duty, real-world industrial components such as capacitive, inductive, and infrared sensors that are built to stand up to heavy use. Electronic Sensors Learning System adds to the Motor Control Learning System to teach the function and applications of a variety of electronic sensors in industries like automotive, packaging, and security. Reinforces this skill-building practice with strong curriculum that thoroughly explains electronic sensor topics such as factors that affect a sensors performance. Learners can connect and operate these sensors, study their design, and analyze their performance in order to build skills that can be applied to real-world job opportunities. This combination of hands-on skills and strong theoretical knowledge gives learners the ability to not only understand where to use a sensor in a circuit, but why it's there and what its function is.
Features:
Hands-on skills
Heavy-duty components
Teaches non-touch electronic sensing in relay and programmable controller applications.
This instructional kit provides the necessary material for students to learn systematically how a hub and a shaft can be joined together in a professional way using feather keys. The material is clearly laid out on a plastic tray. The well-structured instructional material outlines all the necessary technical information and provides a step-by-step guide through the exercises. We recommend that the exercises are carried out in a workshop, as all preparations such as filing, drilling, countersinking and tapping must be carried out in a correct and proper manner by the student.

The Refrigeration Study Unit With Mass Energy Balance is an extremely easy-to-use and functional unit able to permit the study of a compression frigorific cycle and the evaluation of the cycle efficiency and the energy balance at the evaporator and at the condenser. A front panel with mimic diagram and instrumentation allows to keep the most significant thermodynamic quantities under control so facilitating the students understanding and the teachers task. The unit is supplied with manuals which describe the components the installation and utilization procedures as well as many exercises with experimental results. The unit allow the study of the main thermodynamics quantities as a function of the thermal load at the evaporator and the calculation of the power required at the compressor shaft.

The Concrete Workability Meter also known as plastometer is designed to test concrete for dynamic workability. It is suitable for field and laboratory tests to check:
Optimum prope rtioning of concrete constituents (sand, gravel, water, cement)
Possible improvement when admixing a plastifier
Concrete mix for consistency, especially water content
Comparing two concrete types
The test consists in measuring the time required for the concrete to reach an uniform distribution in the receivers. The unit consists of a prismatic receiver divided into two unequal volumes by a removable partition, and an electric vibrator. The fresh concrete is poured into the large volume space, the separating partition is removed, and the vibrator starts automatically.
It causes selective muscular contractions, more powerful and extended than those that are possible through voluntary efforts; it increases the metabolism of the fats with consequent reduction of the adipose zones; it allows, without physical efforts, amazing results such as the increase of the tone and of the volume of the muscles; it tones up the muscles and it progressively reactivates the functionalities of limbs that need re-education. The Electro Stimulation, or the involuntary muscular contraction that is caused by electrical pulses, is a practice used both in rehabilitation and in sport or fitness.
