....These are all original industrial parts that have been prepared such that individual active parts are clearly visible to the user, but their mechanical functionality is retained in full. The range consists of a series of different cutaway models of drive system components. Each of the cutaway models is firmly mounted on a base plate to which hand grips are also attached for carrying. Drive is by hand in each case.
Features:
Demonstration of machine components and illustration of their operation.
The active element consists of a non-metallic circular cylinder coated with an electrically conductive surface and circumferential contacts at each end. Under the conducting surface is a thermocouple designed to measure the local temperature. The Local Heat Transfer Element includes a black plastic plate with circular access hole designed to fit the aperture in the Cross Flow Heat Exchanger duct. The active element has a circular graduated flange that fits in the access hole and allows the active element to be rotated about its central axis while in the airstream.
Experimental Capabilities:
Determination of the local heat transfer coefficient at the stagnation point on a cylinder in crossflow
Investigation of polar heat transfer coefficient for a single tube in a transversely flowing airstream at speeds of up to 30m/s.
The Solid Liquid Extraction allows a soluble component of a solid mixture to be extractedwith a revolving extractor. In continuous 3-stage mode, pure solvent isdelivered from a tank to the sprinkler of the first extraction stage where itis distributed over the solid mixture. The extraction material and thesolvent move in counter flow. The extraction residue drops into a tank afterone revolution of the extractor. Valves can be used to switch to 1- or 2-stagecontinuous mode. After passing through the last stage, the extract collected in theextract tank. The extraction material is continuously fed into the cells of therotating extractor by a spiral conveyor. The solvent seeps through the extractionmaterial, absorbs its soluble components and passes into the collectingsegments. From there, the enriched solvent is delivered to the sprinkler of thenext stage. Discontinuous mode is possible with the extractor stopped.
Features:
Regenerable extraction material
Discontinuousand continuous solid-liquid extraction
1-, 2- or3-stage modes possible.

The Fault Troubleshooting System Motor Control Troubleshooting Module consists of FaultPro software, PC-based fault control card, and fault module with a wide array of faults and individual plug-in connection cables, power supplies, and operation manual. Fault Pro software is a Windows-based software package that provides an online interface for student troubleshooting and a database for record keeping of student responses.
The Fault Troubleshooting System is unique because it can insert faults into electrical lines that carry full power to electric motors as well as control-level signals. This gives it the ability to create a more realistic troubleshooting environment for students. Fault Troubleshooting System Motor Control Troubleshooting Module adds to the model Motor Control Learning System to provide troubleshooting training via computer-based fault insertion. The Motor Control Troubleshooting Module also avoids damage to the equipment that is normally associated with manual fault insertion because it inserts the faults electronically. The Fault Troubleshooting System module gives teachers the ability to accomplish this in an effective manner because it can automatically insert a wide array of faults throughout the training system and record student responses in a computer database. Training equipment last longer and troubleshooting is safer for both the student and the teacher. Troubleshooting is one of the most important skills a student can learn. To do so requires intensive practice in a realistic setting and teacher analysis of each student's methods. With this system, the teacher can work freely in the classroom, analyzing each student's results and coaching them while other students are performing their troubleshooting exercises.
Features:
Insert faults into electrical lines that carry full power to electric motors
Provide troubleshooting training via computer-based fault insertion
Automatically records student responses into a database for easy scoring.
