This apparatus is intended to represent a simple application of a suspended beam and may be used to determine experimentally the tension in the cables supporting a beam carrying a series of distributed loads.
Tension in the supporting cables is determined by attaching suitable masses to the cable stirrups.
Loads may be applied to the beam by attaching masses at a series of loading points and indicators enable the beam to be returned to a position for the true shape of the supporting cables.
A light alloy BEAM is supported on the rods attached at pivot points to cross members threaded on the supporting cables which pass over ball bearing pulleys.

Temperature Control And Regulation Study Unit makes it possible to analyse the behavior of a control loop where the controlled quantity is the temperature of aliquid in a tank. Students may test out the use of different types of regulators, as are currently employed in industrial applications, and thetests can be performed in highly realistic conditions, as the system is entirely made of industrial quality components. Temperature control is one of the main problems encountered in factory automation and process control. It is also extremely interesting for teaching purposes, because temperature varies very slowly over time and therefore makesit possible to apply different control techniques and to assess the effects of the control parameters involved. It is suitable to an interdisciplinary laboratory, because it includes mechanical, chemical, electronic and EDP contents. With this trainer, all the tests can be performed through a Personal Computer and a special software for Windows.

....The Computer Controlled Torsional Vibration Unit is an unit designed to study the torsional vibration, the torsional stiffness and the behaviour of a torsional vibration system with two and three torsional weight vibrator.
Vibrations are transmitted into the torsion bar by means of an electrical motor, which speed is computer controlled. The bar is supported by the base with movable pillars.
An adjustable damper can influence in the vibrations. Shaft encoders on the chucks provide the amplitude of vibration as an electrical signal.
Rigid weight discs, of several diameters and inertia, and pivoting bearings can be located at unlimited positions along the bar.
To facilitate the theoretical comprehension, the exercises are made with a metal torsion test bar, the main element of the unit.
Weight discs can be fixed to the bar with the aid of chucks and flanges; this way, it is possible to assemble torsional vibration systems with one, two or three weights.
The air flow is generated using a blower. To obtain a flow with low turbulence, the air passes through a settling chamber, a fine sieve and a flow straightener. Smoke is used to make the stream lines visible. Flow Visualization Wind Tunnel- Engineering Lab Training Systems - The bench top unit contains a narrow flow chamber with viewing window in which the drag model is placed. The flow patterns can be clearly seen due to the black background of the flow chamber and additional lighting. The smoke is generated by vaporizing a glycol mixture and enters the tunnel via a manifold with a large number of outlet holes. They can be interchanged and have an adjustable angle of attack. Four different models (cylinder, orifice and two wing sections) are supplied.
....Computer interface unit and software are included. The Virtual Work Computer Assist set has the same accessories as except Moment Supports are replaced by Moment Load Cells, and Vertical Force Support is replaced by Vertical Force Load Cell.
