....The pendulum body oscillates in a plane purely translationally without rotation. In a bifilar suspension, the pendulum body is suspended over two threads. In a trifilar suspension with three threads, the pendulum body is set in a torsional vibration. This kind of pendulum can be considered as a mathematical pendulum. A small oscilloscope necessary to balance the bridge is NOT included in the supply. The filament heating circuit voltage does not exceed 12V and the system has an isolated mains transformer. It consists of the heat proof glass observation vessel containing the liquid and housing the nickel filament whose length and diameter can be measured, together with an additional low voltage heating element for rapid warm up.

The Freeze Drier comprises a cylindrical working chamber 300mm diameter by 370mm deep mounted adjacent to a 210mm diameter condenser chamber in a painted stainless steel cabinet. All controls are via a touch screen display with real-time plotting of temperatures and vacuum level. Drying rate may be controlled by the application of heat to the working chamber via a heating element with temperature controller. Both chambers incorporate a clear acrylic lid on an O ring seal. Products to be freeze dried may be frozen in the working chamber prior to drying. The chamber is defrosted by an electrical heater and the ice plug may be removed whole via the lid or allowed to melt totally and drained through the drain plug. Ice build up in the condenser chamber can be observed through the acrylic lid.
....The cooling is obtained by giving heat to the exterior in the zone around the compressor. The cooled fluid expands in the expansion valve and in the evaporator and is transformed in gas. The compressor activated by the engine compresses the refrigerant which consequently warms up; in the condenser the working fluid is cooled until it reaches the liquid phase. To cool the external air refrigerating compressor based systems are exclusively used. The heat necessary for such transformation is subtracted from the entering cool air.
