Various operation principles like starting,normal running, high load, reducing speed and reverse are also explained on therear panel. HV Battery Assembly is installed on the back of an engine. The wiring including LED Lamps clarifies an electric flow.

Actual parts as equipped on the Prius, suchas engine, power split device, electric motor, inverter and battery, are sectioned and painted in different colour and installed on the trestle.

....Motor Generator 1 (MG1) effectively controls the continuously variable transmission function of the transaxle and operates as the engine starter. The Motor Generator 1 (MG1) operates as the control element for the power splitting planetary gear set. It recharges the HV battery and also supplies electrical power to drive Motor Generator 2 (MG2).
....Hybrid Cut Away Engine has two sources of power, the petrol engine and the electric motor. MG1 (motor generator 1) generates electrical power and starts the engine; MG2 (motor generator 2) drives the vehicle. During deceleration the wheels drive MG2 which acts as a generator for regenerative power recovery. Hybrid Cut Away Engine recovers energy otherwise lost to heat in the brakes and uses it to supplement the power of its fuel burning engine. It uses different modes to achieve the most efficient operation in response to driving conditions.
